Nadur Youngsters move thirteen points clear

Nadur Youngsters moved thirteen points clear on top the BOV Gozo Football League First Division as they defeated Kercem Ajax 5-0.

Jordi Parnis handed the Youngsters an early lead on the 6th minute and an own goal enabled them to double the score on the 15th. Five minutes later, Marcelo Barbosa Junior scored a third goal with Ederson Bruno Domingos adding a fourth on the 27th. Thirteen minutes in the second half, Judivan Flor da Silva made it 5-0.

Ghajnsielem were held in a 1-1 draw by Sannat Lions. Igor Nedeljkovic put the Blacks ahead on the 13th but Marlon Mamo equalised on the 67th.

Xewkija Tigers and Victoria Hotspurs shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw. Henrique Maciel put the Hotspurs ahead on the 7th minute but on the hour Elton da Silva levelled matters and two minutes later, Matthias Mercieca handed the Tigers a 2-1 lead. Robinson Blandon Rendon restored equilibrium on the 67th and although Christian Vella made it 3-2 on the 86th, Emiliano Lattes levelled matters for Xewkija on the 90th.

On the other hand, Oratory Youths and SK Victoria Wanderers earned a point in a 1-1 draw. Pablo Vinicius de Moraes Ferreira put Oratory ahead on the 10th but Neil Camilleri equalised nine minutes from time.

Meanwhile Nadur Youngsters and Ghajnsielem will be contesting the final of the GFA First Division Knock-Out after winning the respective semi-finals.

Nadur defeated Kercem 7-0 thanks to goals by Judivan Flor da Silva (2), Lucas Moreira (2), Joseph Zammit, Marcelo Barbosa and Stefan Cassar.

Ghajnsielem, on the other hand, registered a dramatic 3-1 win over Victoria Hotspurs thanks to a hat-trick by Igor Nedeljkovic – including two goals in the dying minutes – after that Henrique Maciel had put the Hotspurs ahead.

Qala Saints moved eleven points clear thanks to a 3-1 win over Zebbug Rovers as Munxar Falcons lost 1-4 to Xaghra United. In another match, Gharb Rangers and St. Lawrence Spurs shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
