Estonia held by Cyprus in first leg of play-out

Estonia were held in a goalless draw by Cyprus in the first leg of the UEFA Nations League Play-Outs at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn on Thursday.

Papoulis was unlucky to hit the crossbar for Cyprus in first half but a late Sappinen goal for Estonia was ruled offside.

The second leg of the play-out will be played at the AEK Arena in Larnaca on Tuesday 29 March. The winners stay in the UEFA Nations League Group C while the losers will be relegated to Group D where they would be facing Malta and San Marino in Group D2.

After facing San Marino away from home on June 5, Malta hosts the loser of the play-outs on June 9. Malta then hosts San Marino on June 12 before playing Cyprus and Estonia away from home on September 23.
