Another heavy defeat for futsal national team in Norway

After losing 8-0 to Denmark in the first match, the Malta futsal national team suffered another heavy defeat losing 9-1 to hosts Norway in another match from Group B of the Preliminary Round of the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers at the Utleirahallen in Trondheim, Norway on Thursday.

Oskar Andreassen put Norway ahead and Sindre Andre Eggen doubled the score but Giancarlo Sammut pulled one back for Malta. However Adrian Skinlo, Christopher Moen and Erlend Tjotta Vie put Norway 5-1 ahead. During the second half, Norway scored more goals through Christopher Moen, Sindre Welo, Erlend Tjotta Vie and once again Moen.

Malta plays the third and final match against Cyprus on Saturday. Cyprus defeated Norway 3-2 on Wednesday, holding Denmark in a 2-2 draw on Thursday.
