Birkirkara FC announced that they the club and Head Coach Andre Paus have mutually agreed not to extend the contract for the coming season.

The club added that it has been agreed by both parties that for the remaining three games of the current season Jonathan Holland shall take up the role of Head Coach in his absence.

Andre Paus had joined Birkirkara in September 2019 and by match-day 20, when football was suspended, they were fifth on 33 points. Last season, Birkirkara were lying in fourth place on 44 points when the season was prematurely terminated, therefore securing a spot in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. The Stripes are currently third on 40 points, six behind second-placed Birkirkara and two ahead of fourth-placed Hamrun Spartans.
