Paolo Favaretto appointed Gudja United coach

Gudja United have appointed Paolo Favaretto as their new coach. Favaretto replaces Thane Micallef who is on the verge of signing a deal with Valletta.

Favaretto had started his coaching career at Bassano and later coached Pievigina. the youths of Mestre and Jesolo before joining Venezia where he was coach of the youth teams, assistant coach, caretaker coach and coach of the senior side. Later he had spells as coach with Padova (youths), Aprilia, Delta Porto Tolle, Real Vicenza and once again Venezia.

Mid-way through season 2017/18, he had his first spell in Malta, leading Senglea Athletic in the Premier League.

On his return to Italy, he coached Levico Terme, Pordenone (youths) and Union Feltre.

Meanwhile Gudja United have offered new contracts to Matias Muchardi, Juan Andres Bolanos Ramires and Ahinga Bienvenu Selemani and in the coming days are expected to formally announce the signing of Andre Fausto Rodrigues Prates and Vito Plut from Santa Lucia.
