Hibernians will be facing either Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad or the champions of Montenegro Sutjeska Nikšić in the second qualifying round of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League should they eliminate Shamrock Rovers from the first round. The draws were held on Wednesday at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

The first leg will be played in Bulgaria or Montenegro.

The draw involved 20 teams: five direct entrants and the 15 winners of the first qualifying round ties played on 5/6 and 12/13 July.

Second qualifying round first legs are scheduled for 19/20 July while the second legs will be played on 26/27 July.

The second qualifying round winners advance to the third qualifying round. Defeated teams transfer to the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round.
