Newly-promoted Marsaxlokk continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Argentine goalkeeper Jose Maria Gobbi.

The twenty-nine year old has been playing in Italy for Calangianus for the past three years after playing for Sarmiento de Leones in Argentina.

The Southseasiders had earlier signed Oscar Matias Carniello, Daniel Agius, Tiago Adan Fonseca, Alfred Effiong, Edafe Christopher Uzeh, Timothy Tabone Desira, Leandro Aguirre, Conor Borg, Dale Mifsud and Ryan Tonna.
