Birkirkara FC secured the services of Uruguayan defender Osvaldo Iorio Forestero.

The twenty-one year old right back played at youth level for Miramar Misiones and River Plate Montevideo in Uruguay and CA Belgrano in Argentina before moving to Italy where he played for Latina Calcio and Insieme Formia apart from a short spell with CA Atenas in Uruguay.

The Stripes, who have appointed Giovanni Tedesco as their new coach, had earlier signed Diego Pires Dall’Oca.
