Jake Galea set to join Etzella Ettelbreck in Luxembourg

Malta international goalkeeper Jake Galea will be joining Luxembourg top division side FC Etzella Ettelbréck.

A product of St. Andrews, Jake Galea moved to Hamrun Spartans in summer 2017. The following season, he joined Sliema Wanderers where he spent three years. He moved to Balzan last season after agreeing a deal until the end of the season.

The twenty-six year old had three starts for the national team, playing the friendly matches against Gibraltar and Liechtenstein in 2020 and Venezuela last month, being included as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Cyprus in a World Cup qualifier last October.

Etzella Ettelbréck finished tenth last season. Founded in 1917, they finished twice as runners-up (2004/05 and 2006/07), winning the Luxembourg Cup in 2000/01, finishing as losing finalists three times (2002/03. 2003/04 and 2018/19).
