Newly-promoted Zebbug Rangers secured the services of twenty-seven year old Colombian central midfielder Almir de Jesús Soto Maldonado.

Almir Soto started his career at Independiente Santa Fe, Fortaleza CEIF, Boyacá Patriotas FC and AD Pasto apart from a spell with Nueva Chicago in Argentina.

The Rangers who have confirmed Brian Spiteri as their coach had earlier signed Charles Lokolingoy, Ričards Žaldovskis, Leandro Almeida and goalkeeper Miguel Chetcuti from Pieta’ Hotspurs have extended the contracts of a number of players who formed part of their squad last season, namely Miguel Perez Jimenez, Shaun Bugeja, Jamie Azzopardi, Glen Mifsud, Kurt Bondin, Randall Vella, Stanimir Miloskovic, Ayrton Mizzi, Travis Bartolo and Yanis Tonna.
