Three match ban for Christian Rutjens

Floriana defender Christian Rutjens was handed a three-match ban while another seven players were suspended for one match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

The players banned for one match are Samir Arab and Milos Zlatkovic (Balzan), Kurt Zammit (Birkirkara), Ferdinando Apap (Hibs), Emerson Vella (Marsaxlokk), Zean Leonardi (Pieta’), Eslit Sala (Valletta).

Rutjens will miss the next three games against Pieta’, Sirens and Birkirkara. Arab and Zlatkovic are ruled out of the game against Zebbug. Zammit will miss the game against Sirens, Apap and Sala the clash between Hibs and Valletta, Vella the game against Hamrun and Leonardi the game against Floriana.

In the Challenge League, Tyron Hili (Marsaskala), Gabriel Nazareno Mannino (Mtarfa), Lesley Cassar Jackson (Swieqi) and Gillmore Azzopardi (Zejtun) were banned for one match while Clyde Borg (Zejtun) was handed a two-match ban.

In the Amateur League, Julian Zammit (Kalkara), Wayne Chetcuti and Aaron Mizzi (Mellieha), Carlos Debattista (Qormi) and Kyle Tanti (Zabbar) were banned for one match.
