Sliema Wanderers maintained their unbeaten record in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Attard 4-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Jake Engerer scored twice on the 32nd and 43rd to hand Sliema a two-goal lead. Mohamed Abdulahi Awad increased the lead twelve minutes in the second half and Sebastian Grech added another six minutes from time.

In another match, Zurrieq returned to winning ways as they defeated San Gwann 3-1. Jeremy Busuttil put Zurrieq ahead on the 39th and four minutes later, Igor Misan doubled the score. Dasser Sammut increased the lead on the 57th with Matheus de Lucena Guariento reducing the gap on the 66th.

Sliema lead the way with 41 points, followed by Naxxar on 38, Zejtun on 30, Tarxien 28, Zurrieq 26, Melita and St. Andrews 22, Fgura 21, Swieqi 20, Lija and Marsa 19, Attard 17, San Gwann 15, Marsaskala 14, Mqabba 11, Vittoriosa 10, Mtarfa 8 and Qrendi 7
