Eleven Premier League players suspended

Eleven Premier League players were suspended after the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Tyrone Farrugia (Mosta) was suspended for two matches while Ivan Bozovic and Matheus Sousa (Balzan), Diego Pires Dall’Oca (Birkirkara), Zachary Cassar (Floriana), Karl Micallef (Gudja), Thaylor Aldama (Hibs), Kemmu Degran Jackson, Marcelo Pereira Muniz and Rei Tachikawa (Sirens), Enmy Pena Beltre (Valletta) were all banned for one match. 

Tyrone Farrugia will miss the next two games for Mosta against Marsaxlokk and Hibernians. Sirens will be without Jackson, Pereira and Tachikawa for the game against Floriana who will be lacking Zachary Cassar. Balzan could not count on Bozovic and Souza for the match against Santa Lucia. Pires is ruled out for Birkirkara for the game against Zebbug, Karl Micallef for the game against Gzira, Thaylor for the game against Hamrun while Pena Beltre will miss the game against Pieta’.

Birkirkara coach Giovanni Tedesco was handed a two-match ban.

In the Challenge League, Justin Grioli (Marsa), Eman Camilleri (Marsaskala), Julian Abela (Melita), Adolphus Nagbe Marshall (Naxxar), Jesusemen Courage Omoruanzoje (San Gwann), Nikolai Micallef and Matthew Spiteri (Tarxien), Dylan Agius (Zejtun), Luca Bugeja (Zurrieq) were all banned for one match. 

On the other hand, Julian Cekani (Dingli) was suspended for three matches, Luca Camilleri (Siggiewi) for two while Sheldon Seychell (Qormi), Nick Borg (Zabbar), Jean Claude Vella (Kirkop), Fabien Lufi (Luqa), Jake Bowman (St. George’s) were banned for one match in the Amateur League. Senglea official Christian Testa (Senglea) was banned for one match.
