First set of BOV Challenge League 2022/23 second phase fixtures released

The Malta Football Association released the first set of fixtures from the second phase of the BOV Challenge League were released on Friday.

At the end of the first phase, the top six teams – Sliema Wanderers, Naxxar Lions, Zejtun Corinthians, Tarxien Rainbows, Zurrieq and Melita – will now take part in the BOV Challenge League Top 6 while the teams finishing seventh to eighteenth in the first phase, namely Fgura United, Marsa, Swieqi United, St Andrews, Lija Athletic, Attard, San Gwann, Marsaskala, Mqabba, Mtarfa, Qrendi and Vittoriosa Stars will take part in the Challenge League Play-Out.

The first games are scheduled for January 21 and January 22 as follows:

At the end of this second phase, the top two teams in the Top Six will be promoted to the BOV Premier League while the team finishing in third place will play against the team finishing third from bottom in the BOV Premier League. On the other hand, the bottom teams in the Play-Out will be relegated to the Izibet Amateur League.
