Hibernians and Sirens were the first two teams to reach the Round of 16 of the Izibet FA Trophy as they defeated Zurrieq and Mqabba respectively on Friday.
In the first match, Hibernians defeated Challenge League side Zurrieq 3-1.
Gabriel Mensah put the Paolites ahead on the 29th and nine minutes later, Bjorn Kristensen doubled the score. Joao Vitor de Oliveira Florencio reduced the gap one minute from the end of the first half but Yunusa Muritala sealed the issue with a goal ten minutes in the second half.
In the next round, Hibs would be facing the winners of the clash between Attard and Kercem Ajax.
Meanwhile in the second match, a goal by Kei Sano three minutes from time handed Sirens a narrow win over Challenge League side Mqabba.
In the next round, Sirens face the winner of the clash between Gudja United and Naxxar Lions.

Round of 16 matches will be played on February 7, 8 and 9. The quarter-finals are scheduled for February 24-26, the semi-finals for April 25-26 and the final for April 30.
