Based in Paola, Hibernians FC is one of the most successful clubs in Maltese football. Founded in 1922, the club has won the championship thirteen times and the FA Trophy ten times, making it one of the most successful clubs in the country. 

Some of the club’s best players through the years include Guzi Xuereb, Charles Scerri, Michael Woods, David Carabott, Mario Muscat and Andrew Cohen. 

Sliema Wanderers Football Club

Founded as early as 1909, Sliema Wanderers FC, based in Sliema, is one of the most successful clubs. They’ve managed to win the championship twenty six times, the FA Trophy twenty one times and the Super Cup three times.

Hamrun Spartans FC, who is based in Hamrun, was founded in 1907. The Spartans won the championship eight times, the FA Trophy six times and the Super Cup five times.
