After suffering back-to-back league defeats to Valletta and Hamrun Spartans, Hibernians returned to winning ways as they defeated Mosta 2-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
The Paolites move third on on 30 points, one behind Birkirkara and one ahead of Gzira United, who have a game in hand. Mosta, on the other hand, are now joined in fifth place by Balzan.
Hibernians took the lead on 22 minutes when following a good run by Gabriel Mensah on the left, he served Jurgen Degabriele who hit home from close range.
Jurgen Degabriele doubled the score thirteen minutes from time beating goalkeeper Ini Etim Akpan with a rising shot when served by Kurt Shaw.
