Enemed Futsal League: Eighth win for Luxol

Luxol St. Andrews Futsal defeated Zurrieq Futsal 3-2 in the only match from the Enemed Futsal League as the preliminary round came to an end.

It was a well-fought encounter with Żurrieq who despite this defeat managed to qualify for the Enemed Premier League.

Luxol surged ahead thanks to a goal by Luke Gatt on four minutes and Robert Stoyanov doubled the score one minute later. Żurrieq pulled one back through David Ferreira de Almeida but Jhon Castro Pulido restored Luxol’s two-goal lead.

In the second half, Zurrieq reduced the arrears once again through Kurt Darmanin.

After this match, the league will be divided into two divisions with Luxol, Swieqi, Ta’ Xbiex, University of Malta and Żurrieq who will contest the Enemed Futsal Premier League while St George’s Marsaskala, Fgura, Malta Under-19 and Malta Veterans who will participate in the Enemed Challenger League.
