Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were suspended following the weekend’s matches.

Edafe Uzeh (Marsaxlokk) was banned for three matches while Paul Fenech (Balzan), Yannick Yankam (Birkirkara), Yunusa Muritala (Hibs), Gaetano Gesualdi and Yanis Tonna (Zebbug) were suspended for one match.

Uzeh will be missing the next three matches against Santa Lucia, Gudja and Birkirkara. Zebbug will be without Gesualdi and Tonna for the match against Hibernians with the Paolites lacking Yunusa Muritala, Paul Fenech will skip the clash with Pieta’ and Yannick Yankam the game against Gudja.

Floriana coach Gianluca Atzori was also banned for one match while Hibernians team managed Jesmond Abela was handed a four-month ban. 

In the Challenge League, Mark Scerri (Sliema), James Vella (Zurrieq), Justin Grioli (Marsa), Gareth Barone and Kurt Theuma (Mqabba), Matthew Camilleri and Jean Matthias Vella (Mtarfa) and Luca Gatt (Vittoriosa) were all handed a one-match ban.

Zejtun official Joseph Attard was suspended for two matches.

In the National Amateur League, Saturday Nanapere (Mgarr), Miguel Galea (Qormi) and Josmike Cesare (Luqa) were banned for three matches while Leon Camilleri (Birzebbuga), Gabriel Borg (Pembroke), Isaac Mizzi (Qormi), Timothy Thomas (Senglea), Adam Benjelloun (Dingli), Chibuzor Lucky Nwaogu (Luqa), Giovanni Galea and Romeu Romao (Msida), Domenico Marsala and Johann Zarb (Siggiewi) and Irvin Abela (St. George’s) were all suspended for one match
