Newly-promoted Sliema Wanderers secured the services of Brazilian twenty-three year old winger Samuel Gomes da Mata. A product of Goias, Samuel Gomes had spells on loan with Londrina EC and AA Aparecidense before joining FC Cascavel. However, in summer 2022, he moved to Malta to join Gudja United.
