Balzan FC secured the services of thirty-one year old defensive midfielder Triston Caruana.

A product of Hibernians, Triston Caruana spent two years and a half on loan with Qormi between January 2012 and June 2014. The following season, he was transferred to Tarxien Rainbows where he spent three years. In summer 2017, he moved to Hamrun Spartans where he spent the two years and a half. In the January 2020 transfer window, Caruana joined Valletta where he spent the last three years and a half.

Balzan will be playing European football this summer after finishing joint-fourth in the BOV Premier League and defeating Hibernians in a decider.
