Clint Tabone names women’s Under-17 squad ahead of UEFA tournament

Malta Women’s Under-17 National Team Coach Clint Tabone has named a 20-player squad for the upcoming UEFA European WU17 Championship Qualifiers.

The team will be facing off against Lithuania and Sweden in Group B5 of the First Round of the UEFA European WU17 Championships. The group’s matches will be held at the Centenary Stadium, Ta’ Qali. Both matches will be live on the Malta FA YouTube channel.

Malta’s first match will be against Lithuania on Monday 3rd November, with kick-off at 13:00hrs. This will be followed by a clash against Sweden on Sunday 9th November at 12:00hrs. Lithuania and Sweden will face off on Thursday 6th November at 13:00hrs.

Coach Tabone’s team is coming off the back of two international friendly matches away to Romania. In those matches, Malta suffered two defeats, but they proved to be important in the development of the young team.
