Qormi and Mqabba joined Victoria Hotspurs and Pembroke Athleta in the semi-finals of the BOV Amateur Cup after emerging as winners in the last two quarter-finals at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.
Qormi defeated Lija Athletic 2-1. Dale Mifsud put Qormi ahead on 19 minutes and although Ross McParland converted a penalty for Lija on 26 minutes, David Emmanuel Garba notched the winner on 55 minutes.
In another match, Mqabba beat Msida St. Joseph 3-0 thanks to goals by Saturday Nanapere on 70 minutes, Tahuoto Cedric Gaoue on 83 minutes and Claudio Calleja on 90 minutes.
In the semi-finals, Pembroke Athleta take on Qormi while Victoria Hotspurs will be facing Mqabba.
