Pembroke Athleta registered their first win in the BOV Amateur League I as they defeated Zejtun Corinthians 2-1 at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday.
Following a goalless first half, Weverton converted a penalty to put Pembroke ahead four minutes in the second half and Andrew Sant doubled the score on the hour. Clyde Bouvet reduced the gap on 68 minutes.
Attard and Mqabba share the top spot with 12 points, followed by Mellieha on 10, Qormi 9, Qrendi 8, San Gwann Zejtun and Victoria 7, Kirkop 6, Pembroke 5, Senglea, Xghajra and Luqa 4 and Lija 2.
