Despite ending the game in nine men, Gzira United came from behind to beat Tarxien Rainbows 2-1 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round league phase at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.
The Maroons therefore registered a third win in as many matches. Tarxien, on the other hand, suffered their third win.
Ironically, the Rainbows managed to take the lead on 19 minutes thanks to Angel Valverde but Johan Bonilla equalised on 28 minutes.
Gzira received a setback with the dismissal of Mihajlo Stojanovic on 72 minutes. However, two minutes in added time, Kante notched the winner for the Maroons. The same player was then sent off for a second yellow card.
