Senglea Athletic and Luqa St. Andrew’s registered wins in two matches from the BOV Amateur League I at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Senglea defeated San Gwann 3-0 thanks to goals by Steven Meilak on 62 minutes, Jack Zammit on 95 minutes and Matthew Brincat a minute later.
On the other hand, Luqa beat Qrendi 3-1. Dylan Micallef put Qrendi ahead on 28 minutes but Bledi Alla equalised on 61 minutes. Nathan Frendo made it 2-1 on 65 minutes and two minutes later, Alla added another.
Attard lead the way with 31 points, followed by Qormi n 30, Mqabba 26, Lija 24, Victoria 23, San Gwann 21, Qrendi 18, Pembroke and Xghajra 14, Kirkop, Zejtun and Luqa 3, Mellieha 11 and Senglea 10.
