BOV Challenge League: Balzan march on

Leaders Balzan regained a three point lead in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Marsa 4-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Sunday. 

James Scicluna put Balzan ahead on 24 minutes and Oluwatobiloba Dimeji Awosanya converted a penalty three minutes from the end of the first half. Awosanya added another on 64 minutes. Neil Demanuele reduced the gap for Marsa on 71 minutes but Awosanya completed a hat trick on 79 minutes. 

At the Centenary Stadium, Swieqi United came from behind to beat Fgura United 2-1. Timilehin Caleb Akande put Fgura ahead after just eight minutes but Zak Barbara equalised on 69 minutes and Kian Leonardi made it 2-1 four minutes later. 

Sirens registered a most comfortable 8-0 win over Mtarfa in another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Trezeguet Zammit put Sirens ahead on 14 minutes and Thiago Nonato doubled the score two minutes later.  zammit made it 3-0 on 32 minutes. Zammit made it 4-0 three minutes in the second half and two minutes later, an own goal extended the lead for Sirens. Thiago Nonato scored a sixth goal on 54 minutes and two minutes later, Zammit scored his fourth. Joel Quist made it 8-0 ten minutes from time.
