Birzebbuga St. Peter’s were the last team to make it to the quarter-finals of the BOV Challenge Cup after defeating Marsa 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.
Birzebbuga join Challenge League sides Gudja United, Melita and Pieta’ Hotspurs and Gozitan First Division sides Kercem Ajax, SK Victoria Wanderers, Xaghra United and Xewkija Tigers in the quarter-finals – the draws for which will be held on Friday.
Paul Lapira put Birzebbuga ahead on 8 minutes. Jamie Scerri doubled the score five minutes in the second half and Samson Chibuike Charles made it 3-0 on 66 minutes.
