After suffering three consecutive defeats, Hamrun Spartans returned to winning ways, beating Naxxar Lions 3-0 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Top 6 at the National Stadium on Sunday.
Hamrun, therefore, rejoined Marsaxlokk in second place, nine points behind Closing Round winners Floriana and four ahead of Valletta.
Damir Ceter put the Spartans ahead on 35 minutes and an own goal by Gabriel Felipe one minute from the end of the first half enabled them to double the score. Joseph Mbong sealed the issue with a penalty on 77 minutes.
