Xghajra Tornados dropped two important points in the battle against relegation as they were held in a 3-3 draw in a match from the BOV Amateur League I at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Richmond Baratuipre Hanson put Xghajra ahead on 19 minutes and went on to double the score on 32 minutes. John Adeniran Agunsoye reduced the gap on 39 minutes and although Cheyzen Spagnol converted a penalty two minutes in added time, before the end of the first half, Joseph Jojo Ogunnupe scored for Xghajra a minute later. Brendan Scerri notched the equaliser eight minutes in added time.
In another match, an own goal on 35 minutes and a goal by Christian Degabriele handed Mqabba a 2-0 win over Mellieha.
Attard lead the way with 59 points, followed by Victoria Hotspurs on 51, Mqabba 48, Qormi 46, Lija 43, Mellieha, Qrendi and San Gwann 30, Senglea 28, Xghajra 25, Kirkop 24, Zejtun and Pembroke 22 and Luqa 21.
