Hamrun Spartans secured the services of twenty eight year old French-Congolese central defender Messie Biatoumoussoka.
After starting his career at CO Beauvais, he played for AS Beauvais Oise before moving to Le Havre and eventually Bordeaux in France. He had his first experience outside France with Charleroi in Belgium but returned to France to join US Avranches on loan. Later he played for PO Xylotymbou in Cyprus, CSC Selimbar in Romania, Botev Vratsa in Bulgaria, AS FAR Rabat in Morocco and Dinamo Batumi in Georgia before joining Lokomotiv Sofia in Bulgaria last summer.
The Spartans had earlier signed Emmanuel Ernest and confirmed the departure of Henry Bonello and Joseph Mbong apart from Mouad El Fanis, Blessing Eleke, Ivan Inzoudine and Michele Carboni.
