Birkirkara secured the services of Malta Under-21 international central defender Jake Vassallo.
Vassallo started his career at the Pieta’ Hotspurs nursery before joining Mosta with whom he made his Premier League debut in season 2021/22.
The Stripes, who have confirmed Paul Zammit as coach, had earlier announced the signing of Aleandro Garzia and confirmed that Shaun Dimech, Leandro Lacunza, Alessandro Coppola, Manuel Morello, Fran Lopez, Luis Cordova, Roni Santos, Geoffrey Acheampong, Donovan Makoma, Sebastian Viveros, Jacques Bayo and Jere Vrcic left the club or were released.
