Hamrun Spartans secured the services of twenty eight year old Nigerian midfielder Jack Ipalibo.
A product of Diamond Academy in Nigeria, Ipalibo moved to Spain to join Villareal from where he had a spell on loan with Strømsgodset in Norway before making a permanent transfer there. Later, he had spells with AE Kifisia in Greece, Chornomorets Odesa in Ukraine, Zalaegerszegi TE FC in Hungary and SC União Torreense in Portugal.
The Spartans had earlier signed Jake Grech, Lucas Villela, Tobias Bjørnstad, Emmanuel Ernest and Messie Biatoumoussoka while confirming the departure of Henry Bonello and Joseph Mbong apart from Jonny, Mouad El Fanis, Blessing Eleke, Ivan Inzoudine and Michele Carboni.
