Malta international goalkeeper Henry Bonello will be playing once again for Sliema Wanderers.
A product of the club, Henry Bonello made his Premier League debut for the Blues in season 2006/07. He spent one season on loan with Vittoriosa Stars in Division 1 in season 2009/10 and on his return, he took the number 1 shirt at the club. Bonello joined Hibernians on loan in season 2014/15 with whom he won the title. The following season, he moved to Valletta on loan but eventually, the Citizens made his a definite transfer. In January 2017, he joined Birkirkara but returned with Valletta the following summer. Bonello moved to Hamrun Spartans in summer 2021 where he spent the last five years.
The Wanderers had earlier appointed Branko Nisevic as their new coach and signed Brian Gambarte.
