Balzan secured the services of twenty six year old Brazilian winger Lucas Ribeiro de Oliveira.
Macula started his career at Fluminense and following a spell at Estoril in Portugal, during which he was also loaned to Maccabi Ahi Nazareth in Israel, he moved to Malta to join Marsa in summer 2022. In January 2023, he moved to Gzira United but in summer 2024, he was loaned to Ventforet Kofu in Japan in summer 2024. He returned to Gzira during the January 2025 transfer window but in summer 2025, moved to Birkirkara.
Balzan, who have confirmed Andrew Cohen as their coach, had earlier signed Nikola Djoric, Mohammed Marzuq Yahaya, Leo Fernandes, Rosiel, Sekala Guehi, Isaac Davey and Emmanuel Asante and extended the contract of Awosanya Oluwatobiloba Dimeji and Sean Cipriott.
