A goal by Anthony Limbombe eleven minutes from time handed Sliema Wanderers a narrow 1-0 win over Birzebbuga St. Peter’s in the final of the Gammari Muscat Mosta Tournament at the Charles Abela Stadium on Saturday.
In Group A, Birzebbuga defeated Mosta 4-0, were held in a goalless draw by Balzan and then defeated Gzira United 2-1. On the other hand, Sliema Wanderers defeated Birkirkara 3-2 and Zabbar St. Patrick 3-1.
After the final, Sliema captain Steve Pisani was presented with the cup by Malta FA Vice-Presidents Trustin Farrugia Cann and Adrian Casha.
