Fgura United registered an impressive 3-0 win over Victoria Hotspurs in a match from the BOV Challenge League at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
Michael Gatt put Fgura ahead five minutes from the end of the first half and Samuel Buhagiar doubled the score three minutes in the second half. Samuel Cazares sealed the issue with a third goal four minutes later.
A goal by Isaac Joseph Chetcuti nine minutes in the second half handed Zebbug Rangers a narrow win over Swieqi United while Mgarr United beat Vittoriosa Stars 2-0 thanks to goals by Bjorn Buhagiar on 9 minutes and Wisdom Osaretin Igiebor six minutes in the second half in the two matches at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
In another match at the Centenary Stadium, Naxxar Lions defeated Sirens 3-2. Alan Schembri Wismayer put Sirens ahead on 17 minutes but Naxxar turned the score in their favour thanks to goals by Trezeguet Zammit on 45 and 62 minutes and Leo Agius on 74 minutes. Leonardo De Bortoli reduced the gap for Sirens one minute from time.
