Gzira United secured the services of Brazilian winger Marcelo Dias.

The thirty-six year old had started his career at Águia de Marabá FC in Brazil before moving to Hibernians where he spent eight years, apart from a six-month spell with Al Ahed of Lebanon in the latter part of season 2013/14. He joined Senglea Athletic in summer 2019 but in the January 2020 transfer window, he moved to Floriana where he spent eighteen months before joining Gudja United last summer.

The Maroons will soon start pre-season training ahead of the UEFA Europa Conference League commitments.
