The Euro Cup – the pre-season tournament meant to give local clubs taking part in UEFA competitions the opportunity to prepare better for their European commitments – will be played on a triangular basis with U*BET FA Trophy winners Valletta also taking part.
So far, Birkirkara have secured the services of Andrew Decesare from Tarxien Rainbows and agreed new contracts with Trevor Cilia, Angus Buhagiar, Shaun Bajada and Joseph Zerafa.
Sliema, on the other hand, are expected to have new foreigners while welcoming back players who were on loan with other clubs. Ivan Woods and Mark Scerri are ruled out from this game due to injuries.
Birkirkara vs Sliema Wanderers will be played at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 18:15.
The tournament continues on Wednesday with the game Valletta vs Birkirkara while the third and final game will be played on Friday between Sliema and Valletta.
