Nursery President Stephen Spiteri explained in detail the hard work done by him and his committee and the various difficulties they are facing. He explained how tough it was for the nursery to find coaches willing to train these youths.
Cottonera United did its utmost to publicize its call for application, through local sport websites and newspapers but when contacted, coaches have so far refused to join the nursery. Another problem was trying to get a full-size pitch for training sessions.
The Cottonera United President emphasised on the importance of discipline during training sessions and competitive games.
“No player, even the finest one, has his role guaranteed. Guarantee can only be given to those players who consistently attend training sessions and show that they truly want to be Cottonera United players,” insisted Spiteri.
The new official kit of Cottonera United was presented during the same meeting.
Meanwhile Cottonera United is seeking to recruit assistant coaches for its teams. All those interested, in possession of a C Licence or better, can apply by sending an email to cottoneraunited@gmail.com or by contacting Stephen Spiteri on 79373836.
