The team management software, which is web-based for ease of access by coaches, was designed and developed by Web App designer Stefan De Battista and developed by Web App Developer Stefania Cristina.
MFA President Norman Darmanin Demajo said one of the first objectives of the current administration was that of turning the MFA Technical Centre into an open learning centre. The key was to select the right persons, giving them the right environment for them to be creative.
The MFA president revealed that next month, the association will launch a business model in order to identify which was the highest level possible the Premier League could reach. On the other hand, as regards the national team, the association believes that the level could improve should more players move abroad to play in foreign leagues.
MFA Technical Director Robert Gatt thanked the President and the Chief Executive Officer for their support and said he is happy with the coaching staff at his disposal.
The MFA Technical Director went on to explain the features of the software: how to input the data about players, data regarding training sessions, the players’ performance in training sessions and tests, how to generate reports and analyse data and how to enter data for scouting purposes.
Robert Gatt said the software for the time being will be used by coaches within the MFA Technical Centre but eventually it could also be used by clubs and nurseries who are interested in licensing this software. Should the software be used by Premier League clubs, this would help in the standardisation of management of team data.
