A stoppage time goal denied Malta a point in Lendava on Friday and therefore the team led by Ray Farrugia will be all out to claim a positive result from the game.
Sweden are currently second on thirteen points from six matches, four points behind leaders Slovenia who lead the way with 17 points from eight matches. Malta, on the other hand, lie at the bottom of the table with five points from eight matches. Ironically four of the points were obtained in matches away from home – a draw with Finland and a win over Lithuania. The other point was obtained in a 2-2 draw with Ukraine at the Gozo Stadium.
