The Pieta Nursery was represented in the Under 10, Under 11 and Under 12 categories.
In the Under-10 category, Pieta dominated the group, winning the seven matches to claim maximum points and scoring no less than seventy-five goals. The team received praise by local newspapers, including a front-page article and an interview with Miguel Micallef who will be joining Villareal in Spain.
The Hotspurs took part in the Under-12 category with three teams. Pieta Whites and Pieta Orange reached the last-sixteen stage while Pieta Blue were eliminated from the group. Pieta Whites managed to beat a Brazilian team, which eventually reached the final 2-1 in the group.
This tournament was a positive experience for the boys who played good football. Besides the tournament, they also had the opportunity to visit Leksand Soomerland Fun Park, Laser Gane and Aqua Park.
The contingent was led by Chairman Frankie Ciantar and Head Coach Michael Farrugia.
