The Paolites defeated Floriana and Hamrun Spartans in their last two matches and are now four points behind the leaders. A win over Mosta would put them one point behind Valletta and Birkirkara.
Mosta, on the other hand, are coming from a narrow defeat to Birkirkara and are eager to bounce back. A win would put them on level points with Hibernians in third place.

Meanwhile in the second match, Floriana take on Sliema Wanderers.
The Greens have gone six matches without a win, losing four and earning the points in two draws with Qormi and Melita. Sliema, on the other hand, maintained their positive run with a draw against Valletta after beating Melita and Balzan. They are currently fourth on 20 points.
After signing Igor Coronado, Floriana signed another Brazilian player Haygnner Henrique Celestino while Akanni-Sunday Wasiu could be back after settling the differences with the club. Valdo Alhinho and Kane Farrugia will be back after serving a one-match ban but Duncan Pisani, Owen Bugeja, Carl Tremarco and Trevor Cilia are all ruled out.
The first round clash between Sliema and Floriana ended in a 1-1 draw.
