The Paolites maintained a perfect start with a 2-0 win over Mosta in their last outing and are eager for more in order to build a comfortable lead on top. The Wanderers, on the other hand, sustained their first defeat, losing 0-3 to Valletta. A defeat which left the Blues in third place on 14 points, seven behind Hibernians and one behind Valletta.
Both sides will be unable to filed their best formation as Ryan Camilleri and Zoran Levnajic are ruled out through suspension for Hibernians while John Mintoff is also suspended for Sliema.
Meanwhile in the first match, kick-off at 16:00, Rabat Ajax continue to chase their first point as they take on Tarxien Rainbows.
The Magpies lost the first seven matches and are coming from a 1-2 defeat to Naxxar Lions which saw the latter turn defeat into victory after Rabat had taken the lead. Tarxien, on the other hand, are currently seventh with eight points from seven matches and are coming from three positive results – a draw with Sliema, a win over Balzan and another draw with Vittoriosa. A win on Saturday would put them in sixth place.
Carlo Mamo and Mark Potezica are set to miss this game due to injuries. Joseph Caruana and Malcolm Licari are in doubt for Rabat.
