The spotlight was definitely on him in Birkirkara’s 3-3 draw against Valletta where he set up all of his team’s goals, setting up Vukanac with an inviting cross for their first, set up Christian Bubalovic for the second while earning a penalty from Romao’s challenge for Herrera to convert.
Dimitrov also scored Birkirkara’s last goal in their 3-0 win over Mosta with a neat lob over Yenz Cini while opening the score in their 3-1 win over Balzan with a curling drive that left Balzan keeper Janjusevic helpless.
This was definitely a season to remember for Dimitrov, who apart from these 2 awards, had also won the individual award for August 2016 and January 2017.
