On Sunday, Nadur Youngsters registered an important 2-1 win over champions Xewkija Tigers to move three points ahead of the Tigers. Following a goalless first half, Darko Krstic put Nadur ahead and although Claudio Antunes equalised seven minutes later, Shaun Attard notched the winner two minutes from time.
Oratory Youths defeated neighbours SK Victoria Wanderers 4-3. Ralph Ebube Okpokwu put Oratory ahead on the 8th minute but Ige Abdullahi Adeshina equalised on the 20th and four minutes in the second half, Predrag Djordjevic converted a penalty to put SK 2-1 ahead. An own goal on the 56th levelled matters and Radovan Duric made it 3-2 for the Youths on the 58th. Djordjevic restored equilibrium on the 66th but Charles Mercieca secured victory for Oratory six minutes from time.
In another game on Friday, Ognjen Rolovic was once again the hero for Kercem as he scored twice in a 2-0 win over Ghajnsielem with goals on the 18th and the 30th.
Qala Saints held Zebbug Rangers in a 1-1 draw. Botshelo Gibson Mfuluane put the Rangers ahead on the 5th minute but Joseph Attard equalised on the 62nd.
Meanwhile last week, Munxar Falcons extended their hundred percent record thanks to a 3-2 win over Qala Saints. Bernard Sammut and Daniel Portelli gave Qala a two-goal lead but a brace by Oliver Curmi and a goal by Keith Borg turned the score in the Falcons’ favour.
In another match, a brace by Botshelo Gibson Mfuluane gave Zebbug Rangers a 2-1 win over Xaghra United who had temporarily equalised thanks to Daniel Glodi Maviluka.
