Malta international forward Maria Farrugia will continue playing in the Barclays Women’s Championship, which will now be known as the Women’s Super League 2 after joining Bristol City.
A product of Nadur Youngsters, she played for Gozo FC in competitions organised by the Malta FA. She moved to England in 2018 to join Sunderland but switched to Durham Women in 2022 and later played for Lewes FC Women and Sheffield United.
