Joint-leaders Floriana face a tricky test on Tuesday as they take on eternal rivals Valletta in one of the matches from match-day 4 of the YoHealth Malta Premier which will be played between Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Greens dropped their first points in a draw with Gzira after winning the first two matches against Naxxar and Tarxien. Valletta, on the other hand are coming from a win over Marsaxlokk after draws with Birkirkara and Hamrun.
Hamrun Spartans will be aiming for a second win on Tuesday as they take on Zabbar St. Patrick. The Spartans are still unbeaten but had only managed to earn points in draws with Tarxien and Valletta before the win over Mosta. The Saints, on the other hand, are still chasing their first win after a defeat to Sliema and draws with Hibs and Naxxar.
Sliema Wanderers take on a Birkirkara side which only managed to earn two points out of the first three matches, losing to Hibernians during the weekend. The Blues, on the other hand, won two out of the first three matches.
Naxxar Lions and Tarxien Rainbows will both aim at earning precious points from this direct clash. The Lions eanred a point in a draw with Zabbar after losing the first two matches. The Rainbows, ln the other hand, suffered narrow defeats to Floriana and Sliema following a draw with Hamrun.
Marsaxlokk will be hoping to return to winning ways in the clash with Gzira United. They currently share third place with Sliema, one point behind Floriana and Hibernians. Gzira, on the other hand, chase a first win after a defeat in the opening match and draws with Birkirkara and Floriana.
Hibernians will be hoping to take advantage from the clash between Floriana and Valletta with a win over Mosta to take sole leadership. The Paolites dropped points in a draw with Zabbar, beating Gzira and Birkirkara. However, Mosta will be hoping to earn a positive result from this game after losing to Marsaxlokk and Hamrun, earning their only points thanks to a win over Sliema.
