Qormi moved top in the BOV Amateur League I as they defeated Mellieha 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Ismael Borg put Mellieha ahead on 4 minutes but David Emmanuel Garba equalised on 19 minutes and then put Qormi ahead on 31 minutes. Dario Aquilina sealed the issue with a third goal on 65 minutes.
In another match, Senglea Athletic defeated Pembroke Athleta 2-1. Johan Castano put Senglea ahead on 41 minutes and although Lucas Gomes equalised two minutes from time, Keith Muscat converted a penalty four minutes in added time to hand Senglea the three points.
Qormi lead the way with 30 points, followed by Attard on 28, Mqabba 25, Victoria 22, Lija 21, Qrendi and San Gwann 18, Xghajra and Pembroke 14, Zejtun 13, Mellieha 11, Kirkop and Luqa 10 and Senglea 7.
